Risha & Alex are an alternative acoustic duo based in Cambridge UK, creating contemporary music with eclectic influences from around the world. Their musical style combines inspiration from the genres and cultures that have had most impact on their lives - fusing elements of folk, pop and rock with Indian and Spanish influences.

Harnassing the power of music as an honest means of communication, Risha & Alex create songs that express their individual and collective personal challenges, both past and present, in the hope that their experiences will resonate with their audience and beyond - recognising that certain issues are not often talked about or received openly enough. In their songs Risha & Alex have written about the role of the feminine in society, as well as speaking out for the people who are often overlooked or feel they don't have a place in this world. Risha & Alex would like to continue to build a community of listeners who feel welcomed, comfortable and empowered.
